Because there is a wealth of information about diseases on the Internet, people do self-diagnosis and become hypochondriacs-suspecting they have every disease possible in the book. But it's good to suspect-it's better to think you have something and end up not having it, than not caring about your health and end up with Stage IV cancer. How can you tell you may possibly have cancer? Here are a few tips.

Things You'll Need:
- bad luck
- Have you suddenly lost a lot of weight? Do you have a poor appetite? Do you have nagging pains that wake you up at night or keep you from sleeping? These aren't achy, sore muscle pain from overuse. It's an alarming kind of pain that wakes you up at night and keeps you awake. (Leg bone cancer, for example, will hurt your legs so badly that you suddenly can't walk-that's a very bad sign, the cancer has already destroyed the bone.)
- Do you have bruises all over your body? A mole that has spread and doesn't look circular-with jagged borders? Do you feel beady lumps that don't hurt in your body (women-breasts especially). Are you constantly dizzy or vomiting? Do you have changed bowel and bladder habits? Like sudden constipation, bloody diarrhea, etc... Or bloody urine? Urine that is darker red than fresh red? Bloody diarrhea and urine are not things you should ignore, regardless. Do you also constantly feel tired and sore? Do you have strange discharges in your body? Note-different type of cancers have different signs. Like brain cancer can lead to blurry and lost vision or deafness.
- Do your immediate and distant family members have cancer? Genes play a role in cancer development. If you have any or some of these signs, I suggest you see a doctor and go through some blood testing. One has a better prognosis when the cancer is diagnosed in the early stages. In later stages, there is a possibility that the cancer has spread. There is a way to tell if a mole or the skin is possibly cancerous, using the ABCDE method: A-asymmetry of the mole. B- blurry or jagged borders. C- different colored mole. D-big diameter. E-Elevation-a raised bumpy surface.
Tips & Warnings
- Some of these signs can mean other underlying diseases. There are more signs to cancer like fever, hoarseness, nagging cough, colds, and sores that don't heal. It's best to do preventative measures like if you drink, don't drink until your liver screams. If you smoke-- try to quit. If you're always stressed, relax, take vacations and yoga classes. Eat fruits, yogurt, and wheat and vegetables every day and sleep at least 8 hours a day.
- Use these tips at your own discretion. Don't freak out-- have yourself checked out by a Doctor.
